About Us

Our history

“The Kingdom of God is like a farmer who scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows…”
Mark 4:26–27 NLT

Sprout was founded with the mission to elevate the standard and raise expectations of childcare. The early years of a child’s life are the cornerstone phase of development, and in a world that is constantly changing, we believe a healthy environment is essential to children’s emotional, social, and physical growth.

Sprout is a faith-based early education initiative serving children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade. Owner Jeremy Jones has built a career centered on education and early childhood development. Having worked with several local charter schools, he understands how imperative it is that children receive the best start in life.

How we’ve grown

From one seed, three branches.

Sprout Learning Center

Formerly known as A Child’s World Daycare (ACW), our facility opened in 1997 as one of the first childcare facilities in the St. Amant area. Locally owned and operated for more than 20 years, ACW became a premier center known for its family style atmosphere. In 2017 the original owners retired and passed the torch to their children, and in February 2018 we became Sprout Learning Center — a State of Louisiana licensed childcare facility providing full-time care to children 6 weeks through 5 years old.

Sprout Academy

Located along Highway 431 in St. Amant, Sprout Academy opened in March 2020 after the owner saw the lack of support for working families during after school hours, school closures, holidays and summer. The Academy operates part-time, outside of school hours, offering tutoring, homework help, character training and fun activities. It is not a full-time, state authorized childcare center and accepts school-aged children enrolled in private or public school.
